Memebox - Minibox #3

Hey everyone! I've finally made it back home! I'm glad to be back but I do like being out there in the world. I can't wait until I get back to Tejas to get some Vietnamese food. Maybe I'll swing by Austin next time.
Anyway, I'm back with another memebox. Here's the deal.  At this point, my nails are decent enough, but they are growing slooooooow.  I don't know what the deal is, but it's pretty unusual for them to go this slow.  One nail is just too short, and it's a bit uneven so that even when it gets a bit longer, I'm going to file it off.  I would use my other hand but I badly broke the pinkie nail lifting a carry on...so there you go.  No swatches, and I really want to swatch.

Today is my first Minibox from Memebox, and it's their 3rd.  I haven't been keeping up with Meme so much anymore because they're schemes are a bit confusing.  I've decided not to really worry about it anymore, as I'm loaded on products, and I have prepaid for several numbered editions so I'm going to still get stuff periodically.  Should be enough for a long time.  Maybe I'll show some interest again in the future but I've got plenty to go through as it is.

The minis retail for $15 but I had a lot of points for some reason so I ended up paying $2 or so for this.  At $5 or under, I feel this is a worthwhile box, but at $15, the price point is too high.  Here's what it looks like and what was inside.

This box is a little smaller in size than regular boxes

Product 1: Illi Cleansing Oil and Foam Set (15 ml packs and foils)

I was a bit confused with this box.  This was one of the things that threw me for a loop because they included foils along with real bottles.  I guess that's nice...but they also could have put foils for something entirely different...right?  This is a two step regimen for cleansing the skin, first with an oil and then a foam cleanser.  Decent size and enough to get plenty of use out and to see if it's worthwhile or not.

All other items came in the red tin can, which was odd but whatever.  The can is nice...I guess.  It reminds me of loose tea cans.  I'm sure I could use it for something, but I'm not sure what that something would be.

Product 2: A. True Real Black Tea True Active Essence

Ok.  Talk about confusing.  I must have looked at this damn bottle, the included card and the foils below (you'll see in a second) for about ten minutes and am still lost.  The card says one thing, the bottle says another, the foils are the same as the bottle, but the picture for the 2nd product matches the actual contents of the box...This is an essence of some sort.  It's thick looking.  Scary.  Not sure I can actually work up the courage to try this.

Product 3: A. True Darjeeling First Anti-Wrinkle Cream

Smells good.  Great sample size.

Product 4: A. True Darjeeling Black Tea First Anti-Wrinkle Essence

The problem with this set is that all items are supposed to be used in conjunction and one piece is missing or was accidentally replicated.  Oh well.

Product 5: Compagnie Coloniale Earl Grey Superieur

Two tea bags.  They look nice quality (not paper bags) and they smell good.  I will use these but it's a little odd.

That's it.  Maybe next weekend will have longer nails and paint.  Wish me luck.

Memebox -10 Minute Box

Hey guys,

Today didn't turn out quite like I planned and I didn't have enough time to get swatches done.  I'm hoping to get on the ball tomorrow, with a few swatches before and after work to make up time.  Today I've got my most disappointing Memebox to date.

I don't know why I got this one, except that I had a butt load of points to spend. Well it came, and I'm sad.

Item 1: Aromalab "Designer Fragrance Oil  - American Pheromone Woman Type 01"

A roller ball which is supposed to be fruity, but is really bordering on powdery.  It does indeed have a fruity scent, but I'm not sure about this one. It might be going to Houston to stay with my mother very soon.  Nice packaging, but mine did leak a wee bit. EDIT: Dries now nicely.  Pretty happy with it at this point in time.  Has a bit of masculinity early on but the dry down is just so good.

Item 2: Hope Girl "Powdery Body Perfume"

(That looks like blue cheese, doesn't it?!)

This is quite literally a powder, though it does have a very mild powder scent. I'm not a fan of powder, but I can tolerate it as it's so subtle. I tend to overheat quickly too, so I'm willing to try this since silica is good for body moisture...tmi, I'm sorry.  Well packaged but I'm not huge on leopard print (but I do love leopards).

Item 3: Hope Girl "Milky Balm Lipstick"

Randomly selected. I got Red Burgandy, which I guess is perhaps more wine red than the other option, though I don't know for sure.  This is pretty much a brick red.  Typical lipstick packaging. I'm not huge on red lipstick but I might be able to sheer it down.  Mine melted a wee bit (it's so mother humping hot...ugh), but I'm sure as long as I'm careful it won't break.

Item 4: Secret Romance "Hair Essence Lovely"

Perfume for the hair. Good concept and it smells great. Problem is, it's oily! Ugh. My hair is extremely thin and produces plenty of oil on its own.

Lastly....
Item 5: Laboratory eyelashes

I don't know what pair I've gotten.  It's all in Korean.  But nope.  No.  No.  No.  Not even any glue.  Wat.

Oh well.  Can't win them all.

Memebox 7

Another Memebox!  I'm super excited about this one.  I skipped box six (wish I had skipped 5 instead), and won't be getting 8-10 either.  Six was another great one so I'm a little sad I didn't get in on those other three, but at least I got 7.  Let's jump right into it.

Please click to enlarge and read

This was another express shipped box, but it came via DHL, which was surprisingly quick.  I'll miss express shipping, especially now that they use DHL.  This box contained 6 items, but they're all really great ones.

Item 1: Miseencene 2X Curl Essence 30 ml (full size, 150 mL, $10)

Leave in treatment for hair, designed to help pump up the volume!  Not too fond of the smell but it's not terrible.  Excited about it, even though I generally don't care for hair products.

Item 2: Leaders Insolution Bio Medi-curing Mask-Aqua Dressing 20 ml x 2 (full size x 2, value $3 each)

Face masks!  I love masks.  These are a great value too if a repurchase is needed.  I might give one a try tonight.

Item 3: Dr. G Bio-RTx Mentor Cream 20 ml (full size: 50 ml, $35)

This is a randomly selected cream of this brand.  The choices you could get were either 3 for oily skin, 5 for dry (which I received) and 7 for acne prone.  I have combo skin so I'll be careful with where I use this.  Packaging is amazing and it smells wonderful.  Really excited about trying it.

Item 4: a:t fox Jasoyup Herb Tea/Black Tea Makeup Designer Kit (full size, $23)

I received the Herb Tea version.  Both come with 3 color eye designer pencils, an eyeliner designer pencil and a lip and cheek designer pencil, as well as nail stickers and a small file.  The packaging is so amazing!  They used holographic print, it's really cute.  I'm not sure of the quality of the makeup, as when I swatched, the pencils did seem...soft.  The lead bent quickly, not broke, they bent.  I'll report back.

Item 5: Recipe by Nature Slowganic Cleanse - Lemon and Green Tea and Adlay 10 g x3
(full size: 100 g, $40)

It's face cleanser in pods!  I have no idea why, but I feel like this is the cutest soap I've ever seen.  I'm really excited to give it a try.  Each one probably lasts more than one cleaning, and the trio comes with a cover so you can cover an open pod so it will not dry out.  Makes it ideal for travel.  Cannot wait to go somewhere now!

Item 6: Catrin Natural 100 Mineral Sun Kill SPF 42 PA++ 12 g (full size, $38)

The color received is Natural Beige, which appears to be pretty light, but I think you just use a light dusting.  As long as you aren't very dark, this will probably work.  Wonderful packaging, though I have heard people spilling powder all over themselves, so be careful when pulling the puff apart from the powder unit.  I think the packaging is actually really smart; the power is completely trapped under the puff so you can take it with you and it won't make a mess the next time you open it.  Also...I love the name.  Sun Kill?!  As a person not fond of the sun (I don't know why, I'm not terribly fair, I usually don't burn, but I'm just sensitive to it), I can totally relate.  Hah.

That's it for this box.  This is my last box for the next few months, unless they release a Lucky box with stuff from 8-10.  I pre ordered the big bundle (I did slap my wrist for that) so I am set for a while.  I hope the few months I don't get a box will be enough time to go through some of the stuff I've acquired.  Probably not, but a girl can hope.

Memebox - the 5th global edition

Well, I'm back with my most recent Memebox.  I'm sorry it's a bit late; I missed the post man and of course, it's like an epic journey to get to my PO so it took a few days.  But it's here, and it's showing off.

I first want to say that there has been some disappointment surrounding this box.  There are foil packets in here, which honestly I don't expect for a box this price.  I am still really satisfied with the rest of the products, but I think I'd rather a small sample that I can use three or four times to replace the foils.  Now onto the contents.

A body lotion.  This is a sample size but it is quite generous. Something about the packaging of it reminds me of Cetaphil (drugstore) but the cap is rubberized which seems a little higher end.  Smells amazing. I would buy this again if I didn't already have a butt load of moisturizers.

I'm not really sure if this is a moisturizer or not, but either way it is something I need.  I've got big pores, I hope this works.  This is a full sized product.

Another generous sized sample, this is a gel cleanser.

Another sample, this is a roll on aromatherapy product to be placed on temples and pulse points.  Why it's called Tasteless is a mystery.  This has a strong licorice scent but when I tried it, the patchouli came out the most and I'm not a fan of patchouli.  I will try it again though.

Lipozone samples for cellulite areas.  Package says 5 vials but it came with seven.

A face soap bar.  Teeny size but certainly large enough to give a shot.

Supposed to be a sample size but it is huge.  Has good coverage but I'm not a fan of the color on me.  It' a little too light.  It's just a touch lighter than my natural lips.

Foil samples.

Memebox - 4th Global Edition

Hello again!

I'm back with yet another Memebox unboxing.  If you don't know about Memebox, they're a Korean company who is just starting to expand globally with the goal to introduce the rest of us to the awesomeness of Korean beauty.  At this time, you cannot subscribe to the service, so you kind of have to keep an eye out to pick up boxes as they are released.  They also tend to release them frequently, making it quite unlikely that one could afford all the boxes.  I'm sad to say that I missed out of box six and probably will not get box 7.  But I love the brand!

Now, onto the box:

Guys, there's a staggering amount of products in this one.  Not as many full size, but so much to try that you can't really be upset.  Here...we...go...

Lip and cheek tint.  I don't know who would wear this...it's straight orange.  I will probably give it a shot.  Is the packaging not adorable though?  I love it so much I hate it.

This is essentially a dry shampoo.  It was an inexpensive full sized product.  Looking forward to trying this.

Hehe...vampire face...

Another fairly inexpensive full sized product.  A face bar soap with some sulfur...and yes...it smells like sulfur.  Nicely packaged.

This is a sampler pack.  I think it's akin to toner.  Comes with tissue pads.  Nifty.

Another deluxe size.  Essentially a face serum, they suggest to mix a few drops with lotion.  I'm excited about it.  Cutely packaged.

What I'd describe as a lotion or lotion serum.  External packaging is quite pretty.

Lip gloss.  Pretty color, supposed to be a well recognized and high end brand.

Another face oil.  Packaging is ok.  Also suggests use for cuticles, which...hey!  I love stuff I can put on my cutes.

Not really sure...I think it's similar to toner.  Very cutely packaged and very nice deluxe size.  Has a covering which I'm not quite sure how to open.

Finally...swatches.

The BB is light...real light.  Granted, I'm not very fair (pretty solidly medium) but I don't know.  I'm hoping it oxidizes a great deal.  I tried a small amount of the gloss on, feels pretty heavy but that that sticky.  Will have to report back.  And that tint...it's orange, y'all.

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this box.  The express shipping gets it across the pond in no time and to my door step like that and I'm loving the variety.  Well done, Memebox, well done.
